78.2 X Screen Saver

The xscreensaver can be invoked from the command line using:

$ xscreensaver-command -lock

Prior to version 13.10 of Lubuntu a keyboard shortcut was defined for the OpenBox window manager to map Ctrl-Alt-l to use xscreensaver. This is defined in the file ~/.config/openbox/lubuntu-rc.xml:

    <!-- Lock the screen on Ctrl + Alt + l-->
    <keybind key="C-A-l">
      <action name="Execute">
        <command>xscreensaver-command -lock</command>
      </action>

Any change takes effect on the next login or after we run:

  $ openbox --reconfigure
