Commit Early, Commit Often This helps to maintain the energy of a project. Others learn from your contributions as you go. Share different ideas and points of views. Short cut potential dead ends. Revel in peer review.

Don’t Check In Generated Files When someone else builds, the files tend to be regenerated, and consequently are tagged for commits, and we end up with everyone regularly committing unnecessary updates. Generated PDFs are an exception since they are useful on github.
