35.1 GNOME Configuration

To reset all GNOME configurations to the default the following is used. WARNING THIS IS THE NUCLEAR OPTION. DO NOT DO THIS LIGHTLY.

dconf reset -f / # DON'T DO THIS WITHOUT CONSIDERING THE CONSEQUENCES

To view the options set for a specific gnome shell extension (gTile):

dconf dump /org/gnome/shell/extensions/gtile/

Some examples of the updating the settings:

dconf write /org/gnome/shell/extensions/gtile/auto-close false
dconf write /org/gnome/shell/extensions/gtile/grid-sizes "'8x6,6x4,4x4,3x1'"
dconf write /org/gnome/shell/extensions/gtile/window-margin 10
