9.28 Playing Digital Audio
review There is a wealth of digital audio players for GNU/Linux. They all generally support at least the ogg digital audio format, but often also many other digital audio formats. They can often also stream audio from the Internet, giving access to Podcasts and Internet Radio.
A audio player will generally load in a library of ogg files and allow you to search, order, and manage them in various ways and to varying degrees. Some will display album cover art work, and allow the editing of the file tag information stored in the digital media files.
The Ubuntu default is rythmbox.
