2.6 Install Rattle: Linux

Before you install Rattle please be sure that R is installed, as detailed in Section 2.1 and be sure to install the required R packages.
To install Rattle on Ubuntu see Section 2.7. To install Rattle on any GNU/Linux using Snap see Section 2.8.

To install Rattle on Linux we first need to ensure we have R and the recommended R pacakges installed as discussed in Section 2.1.
You are then ready to install the Rattle software. Begin by
downloading the
rattle-linux.zip. You
can do this by tapping on that link or else from the terminal command
line using curl as above.
Once downloaded extract the zip archive and from the extracted files you can directly run the rattle executable found in the rattle folder.
